Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1202 of 14 August 2020 terminating the anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of pins and staples originating in the People’s Republic of China and subjecting imports of pins and staples originating in the People’s Republic of China to surveillance

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Regulation (EU) 2016/1036 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2016 on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Union(1), and in particular Article 9(1) thereof,

Having regard to Regulation (EU) No 952/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 October 2013 laying down the Union Customs Code(2), and in particular Article 56(5) thereof,

Whereas:

    HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

    Article 1

    The anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of pins and staples currently falling under CN codes ex73170020, ex73170060, ex73170080, ex73262000, ex76161000, 8305 20 00 and ex83081000 (TARIC codes 7317002040, 7317006040, 7317008040, 7326200040, 7616100040 and 8308100040), originating in the People’s Republic of China, is terminated.

    Article 2

    The TARIC codes mentioned in Article 1 or any corresponding future codes shall remain open for a period of 24 months as from the publication of this Decision to allow the Commission to follow the statistical trends of imports of pins and staples in accordance with Article 56(5) of Regulation (EU) No 952/2013.

    Article 3

    This Decision shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
